Hi, I’m Dr. Anita Chandra with today’s tip for kids from the American Academy of Pediatrics. As a parent, you are your child’s first teacher. Like all students, kids will make mistakes. Your goal is to encourage the behavior you want to see. Set clear expectations. Reward good behavior. And withdrawal privileges when needed. What doesn’t work is spanking. It only increases the risk your child will be aggressive. For more strategies on child behavior, talk with your pediatrician or visit HealthyChildren.org.
