Ladies and Gentlemen, PartyGammon has entered the building. Only a couple of weeks after PartyGaming launched it’s latest addition to the Party family, PartyGammon.com, they announced the first Million dollar tournament in Backgammon’s history: PartyGammon.com Million.
Thirty years ago backgammon was living it’s latest peak moments and big money prize tournaments were regular. The World Championships were held in the Bahamas and PartyGammon is taking backgammon back to its roots; the PartyGammon Million will be held at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas from January 21 to January 25, 2007.
The total prize money at the PartyGammon Million tournament is 1 million dollars and the winner of the tournament will go home with $500,000. Not surprisingly the best backgammon players will be present alongside with the media - the tournament will be filmed and broadcasted on major television channels.
Play and win an entry to the tournament
There are a total 128 places in the PartyGammon Million tournament. Half of the places are buy-in places but the other half are reserved for PartyGammon.com members. You can play backgammon online at PartyGammon and the winner of each 3-level tournament will win one tournament prize package worth $12,500 - a ticket to the PartyGammon Million tournament. You may also buy in to any level.
