Crash course in backgammon - Withdrawal
April 25th, 2007
Sooner or later you will start winning and it’s time to cash in the hard-earned money. Much like in depositing there are a few withdrawal methods to choose from. This article on withdrawing your winnings concludes our our crash course in backgammon article series.
Withdrawal methods
Gammon Empire offers the basic withdrawal methods that are also available at other backgammon sites as well. Other sites, such as PartyGammon, offer a more extensive mix of options but the ones described here already give a good overview.
The available withdrawal methods at Gammon Empire are:
- Visa credit cards
- Neteller
- PayPal
- Moneybookers
- Wire transfer
- Bank draft (check)

There are certain limitations to withdrawing your money from your game account:
- Credit card withdrawals are available only to Visa cards when you have used a Visa credit card to deposit money. This is currently a global credit card limitation and will appear on other backgammon sites as well.
- If you used a Visa card to deposit money, you will receive the withdrawn amount to the credit card account you used to deposit. The selected withdrawal method will act as a backup should this not work out. Fortunately you may request a change to this policy but be prepared to submit some documents as requested.
- You are unable to withdraw money via Western Union.
- Bank draft (check) withdrawals might take up to a month to be processed and for the check to arrive.
The actual withdrawal process is very similar to depositing and requires very little guidance. You will need to enter the requested details in the necessary fields, click on the “submit” button and that’s it. And if you change your mind and want to cancel the withdrawal you can do so as long as the withdrawal status says “Requested”.
The preferred method
The withdrawal method you should use largely depends on your personal situation, geographical location and the size of the withdrawal. The method we once again recommend is Neteller; it is instantaneous (both ways) and free of any hassle. Any charges associated to money transfers are very reasonable and keeping the Neteller account itself is free-of-charge.
